Prinx HiCountry R/T HR1 Tires

The Prinx HiCountry R/T HR1 is a rugged terrain tire, a hybrid category that takes the off-road bite of a mud-terrain and pairs it with the on-road manners of an all-terrain. It is built for lifted trucks and off-road SUVs and is backed by a 50,000-mile limited treadwear warranty, which is long for a tire with this much tread depth.

The tread relies on Prinx's proprietary Nano Blend (NBC) rubber compound, formulated to extend tread life and provide reliable performance across varied conditions. Mechanically, a wide ground contact area optimizes on-road stability, while the three-step lug design with integrated mud ejectors clears the tread in mud and loose dirt and actively prevents stone retention on gravel. The reinforced three-ply sidewall is what protects the casing on rock and lets you air down safely. Additionally, two sidewall designs let you match the look of your build.

What makes this one unusual in the category is winter capability. Select sizes carry 3PMSF certification for severe snow service, and the tire is pinned for studs where local law permits, which gives you an ice option that most rugged-terrain tires simply do not offer. Confirm 3PMSF on the specific size you are buying rather than assuming it applies across the line.

Expect the trade-offs that come with the category. On pavement it is firmer and more audible than an all-terrain, it costs fuel economy, and it is heavy, so have the set road force balanced rather than spin balanced. Prinx is a newer name in the US market, and the tires are DOT compliant and carry a manufacturer treadwear warranty.
