Gripmax MaxGrip A/T 35X12.50R20 F/12PLY

Gripmax MaxGrip A/T Product Description

The Gripmax MaxGrip A/T 35X12.50R20 F/12PLY Tires is a Truck/SUV - All Terrain tire. Manufacturer part number: GAT038.

The Gripmax MaxGrip A/T is an all-terrain tire for crossovers, SUVs and light trucks. It suits drivers who want an all-terrain look and gravel road traction at a value price, without stepping up to a heavy mud-terrain tire.

The tread uses staggered blocks and a high void ratio. That means more open space between the blocks to clear mud and loose dirt, and more edges to bite on gravel. The design also aims to prevent stone retention, which protects the tread base from stone drilling. Gripmax markets the line with a 3-ply sidewall. That adds resistance to cuts and impacts on trail and jobsite debris, where a 2-ply passenger sidewall is most vulnerable. Gripmax backs it with a 55,000-mile treadwear warranty.

The question to settle is which version of the tire you need, because the MaxGrip A/T comes in two very different builds. The passenger sizes are XL (Extra Load) with an H speed rating (130 mph), made for crossovers and SUVs that mostly drive on pavement. The LT sizes come in load range E (10-ply rating) and F (12-ply rating) with an S speed rating (112 mph), made for pickups that tow, haul or air down off-road. Match the version to the load range on your door placard.

Best-suited for: Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forester, Honda CR-V, Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Jeep Grand Cherokee.
