The tread is symmetric, so it rotates to any position and wears evenly. The pattern is designed to cancel tread noise for a quieter cabin. Siping adds biting edges for wet roads and light snow, and the casing is reinforced for stability at highway speed. Its UTQG is 500 A A. A treadwear grade of 500 is a solid number for a highway tire, and A is the top temperature grade. Tread depth on the 215/70R16 is 10/32 inch.

Most sizes are passenger-metric, standard load or XL, and speed ratings run from S to W depending on size.
