ROD-12-0023

The Roadtrack DV302 11R22.5 H/16PLY Tires is a Commercial Truck - Drive tire. Manufacturer part number: ROD-12-0023.

The Roadtrack DV302 is a drive-position commercial truck tire in 11R24.5, load range H (16-ply rating), for Class 8 tractors and heavy straight trucks on 24.5-inch wheels.

The 11R24.5 is a conventional, taller drive size common on tractors that run 24.5-inch wheels. Load range H is the heavy-duty casing for it, built to carry full rated axle loads at high pressure. A stiffer, higher-pressure casing flexes less, and less flex means less heat on long runs.

For a fleet, the right drive tire is the one that delivers the lowest cost per mile. That depends more on maintenance than on the tread: correct cold pressure, matched duals, and alignment on the tractor's axles.

Best-suited for: Class 8 tractors and heavy straight trucks on 11R24.5 drive fitments.

Tire Best Features:

A drive-axle design for Class 8 tractors.
Load range H for full rated axle loads.
The conventional 11R24.5 size for 24.5-inch drive wheels.
A high-pressure casing limits flex and heat on long runs.
Fits tandem drive axles on tractors and heavy straight trucks.

Description

Load Index

146/143

The load index (LI) is a 2- or 3-digit number that correlates to the maximum amount of weight the tire can carry. For example, a tire with a load index of 87 indicates that the tire can carry a maximum load of 1,201 lbs. In this particularly example, 4 tires (each with a load index of 87) can carry a maximum of 4,804 lbs. Refer to your vehicle owner's manual for the recommended minimum load index.

Speed Rating

Speed rating (SR) indicates the maximum speed the tire can achieve. Higher speed ratings are typically associated with better handling capabilities. Refer to your vehicle owner's manual for the recommended minimum speed rating.

Load Range/Ply Rating

H/16PLY

Ply rating, more commonly referred to as load range, represents the strength and durability of the tire. Higher ratings may indicate your tires can handle heavier loads.

Tread Design

Nondirectional

The pattern of the grooves, lugs, voids, and sipes on a tire's surface. This design affects the tire's traction, handling, and noise characteristics. Common types include symmetrical (uniform pattern across the tire), asymmetrical (different patterns on the inside and outside for varied road conditions), and directional (designed to rotate in one direction for improved wet traction and hydroplaning resistance).
