Pegasus HPX SPORT AS Tires

The Pegasus HPX SPORT AS is an ultra-high-performance all-season tire for crossovers, SUVs and sport sedans on large, low-profile wheels. It is for drivers who want a W-rated all-season with sharp steering and a mileage warranty at a value price.

The tread is asymmetric. The outer shoulder uses larger blocks for cornering stability, and the inner section carries more biting edges for wet and light-snow grip. Four wide circumferential grooves move water out of the footprint to resist hydroplaning. The UTQG is 420 A A: traction A, earned in wet braking, and temperature A, the top grade. It is backed by a 50,000-mile treadwear warranty.

Almost every size is XL (Extra Load), and that matters on SUVs. XL means the casing carries more weight at a higher inflation pressure than a standard-load tire of the same size. Your door-jamb placard shows the load spec your vehicle needs. Most sizes are W-rated (168 mph), meaning the casing is built to hold its shape at sustained speed.

Best-suited for: Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ford Explorer, Dodge Durango, Toyota Highlander, Lexus RX, Kia Telluride, Chevrolet Tahoe.
