Fortune Tormenta A/T 2 Tires

The Fortune Tormenta A/T 2 is an all-terrain tire for pickups, SUVs and crossovers that need year-round capability on pavement, gravel and trail. It comes in passenger-metric sizes for half-ton trucks and SUVs and in load range E and F light truck sizes for heavy-duty work. Many sizes have outlined white letters. Fortune is a brand of Prinx Chengshan.

The compound is specified to resist cuts and chipping on gravel, and the tread blocks are designed to clean themselves of mud and stones. 3D siping adds biting edges for snow and wet roads while keeping the blocks stiff. A reinforced sidewall protects against off-road damage. The tread uses a dual-pitch design, meaning blocks of varied lengths. That breaks up the single tone that makes all-terrains drone on the highway.

The question that sets this tire apart is winter. The Tormenta A/T 2 carries the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol. That means it passed a standardized snow traction test, unlike M+S, which only describes tread geometry. For a truck owner in the snow belt, one set can cover the year. Every size is backed by a 50,000-mile treadwear warranty. Pick passenger-metric sizes for half-ton trucks and SUVs, and LT load range E or F for trucks that tow or haul.

Best-suited for: Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Ram 1500, Toyota Tacoma, Jeep Wrangler, Toyota 4Runner, Ford F-250, Honda CR-V.
